So i know im around the millionth person to ask this, but no matter where i look i never find books i want to read although im sure some are good, i mainly need someone to recomend them. Before we start ill name most of those which i have read to avoid confusion and give ideas to anyone who has the same problem

thats mainly all i can think of.. i may have forgotten some.. . if you havent read those id recomend all of them.. but any help is apprecitated

And what is your favorite book? Mine is mystery-And Then There Were None and fantasy-Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets. How about you?

They bring Religion into Fantasy novels and says, "It corrupts your mind and is going to make you go to hell."

They even say Harry Potter makes kids do Magic and Kill people!

I think it’s absurd.

I’ve read, harry potter series, percy jackson series, Artemis Fowl and Tunnels and he alchemyst : The secrets of the immortal flamel. can Anyone help me finding more series? I’d appreciate it if it is a series and if you can give me an e-book site where to download it. THNX.

We’ve just seen a big trend in Vampires with movies like Twilight and shows like True Blood…

Before that was fantasy, with movies and novels like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings…

What do you think will be the next big trend in movies and novels???

Is there an American novel that has a style similar to that of RPG games (like Final Fantasy), with adventure, combat and magic? I already know Golden Compass, Harry Potter, Twilight, Narnia, Percy Jackson. But is there anything like those real Japanese games or animations (like Elemental Gelade, Naruto, Vampire Hunter D), with epic adventures of the hero with the heroine (or heroines..), not some high school romance like Edward and Bella or Stephen and Elena…Can you recommend a novel like this? Or is there any fantasy-RPG-style novel that is made into a game? Thanks a lot.

No classics please. Somehow, I can never digest those. Almost everything else will do- medical thriller, suspence (not Agatha Christie, I dont like her books), comedy, science fiction, even fantasy will do- I liked harry potter and artemis fowl.

Rowling puts out pre-packaged fluff fiction with most of the thinking already done for its readers. Most of her creatures are completely unoriginal, and most of her material is from existing fantasy novels or misunderstood real-world mythology. Harry Potter is easy to read, simplistic, and comes in brightly colored packaging. It didn’t "get children reading again," it "got children reading more Harry Potter, and going to the movies to see Harry Potter, and buying Harry Potter merchandise."

Do you honestly think that any of these kids, who wouldn’t have read anything more complicated than the name of their favorite breakfast cereal without being goaded by a red-hot poker, are going to put down Deathly Hallows and suddenly develop a craving for Shakespeare, or Mark Twain, or Edgar Allen Poe, or even a solid and in-depth fantasy like Tolkien’s?

My friend loves fantasy novels. Harry potter is her favorite..
She loves twilight, narnia, etc, She’s 17 now.
